These units are built to be 100% drop in’s, with no physical modifications required. All of these units are built with exclusive race covers by GT Performance Chargers. Spool time, in any size built will be similar to your OEM unit as these are still small frame turbochargers. The larger the size you go the less desirable it’ll be for towing, along with being less friendly for in town commuting. Turbos like these can be used for stock to extreme applications such as throwing some more horses on the daily or giving the sled truck some more juice! Understand though that the bigger you go, the shorter it’s service life may be. These also include a new billet actuator which requires no relearn process. Drop in and go!
A 6.7 comes factory with a restrictive 12 blade 60mm turbine. This can easily become a restriction when you start chasing power. I have no problem recommending a 63/67 on a bone stock truck. They work very well, it is however preferable to have some tuning to be able to maximize the upgrade.
60mm This is a great compressor for basic builds. This unit will far outflow any stock wheel as well as out spool it. This is paired with a 60mm high flow 10 blade turbine. Consider something like this for a work truck or something that will fall at or below 500 HP.
63mm This compressor is paired with a 67mm turbine. This size is also our most common drop in compressor across the board. They are just a really nice blend of performance and drivability for the everyday truck. You can make some impressive power numbers with a turbo like this but still hook to the gooseneck and get on down the road. These turbos are great for stock like spool up to around the 650hp mark.
NOTE: These turbos are not on hand at our shop and are custom ordered from our supplier. There is an option for powder coat, please contact us for more info if you’d like to do so! 814-421-3395 or cody@tcdiesel.net
